April 15th 2026 New York.
Celebrating 20 years of lighting innovation at LEDucation 2026, team BIOS showed New York City just how special the role of light is in the built environment. Hosted by the Designers Lighting Forum of New York, this event brought together a diverse audience, from engineers and designers to architects and end users. LEDucation 2026 was the hub for those in the lighting industry. Without a doubt, the overwhelmingly positive feedback from visitors made it clear that the future of lighting is as bright as a blue sky day.
“Seeing Is Believing” — The SkyView™ Experience
On the show floor, we previewed our upcoming Linear model alongside our Tile in the Day/Evening mode, designed to keep you energized throughout the day and ready to wind down at night. People noted how vibrant the day mode was with its high blue sky light direct to the eye. With the switch by standard controls, they remarked how warm and calming the evening mode was as the illumination was straight down, limiting light to the eye.
At the immersive suite, many visitors described a clear “Aha” moment when comparing typical indoor lighting to SkyView™’s blue sky effect. The difference between SkyView™ lighting and standard lighting was not only evident— it was transformative. Creating a one-on-one experience in a commonly lived-in space provided a clear visual representation of SkyView™’s potential in changing the atmosphere of an indoor environment. Even with the steady flow of visitors, the suite felt calm and peaceful, a rare sight in the city that never sleeps.
Attendee feedback indicated that BIOS stood out from the recent advances in LED technology, controls, and form factors by addressing a different question:
Not just how lighting looks, but how it affects people.
Visitors consistently described the SkyView approach as “new,” “refreshing,” and “highly differentiated.” As the industry continues to evolve, this signals a broader shift toward lighting solutions that prioritize health, performance, and experience, alongside efficiency and aesthetics.
There were also many requests from booth visitors for talks and immersive demos. To schedule one for your team or project, please contact us. Like being outdoors, SkyView™ healthy, blue sky lighting is best understood through experience, not specification sheets. One attendee viewing SkyView™ said, “Seeing is believing”. And at LEDucation 2026, more people than ever saw what the future of lighting could look AND feel like.
